IFPTE TRAINING AT
RUTGERS UNIVERSITY INN AND CONFERENCE CENTER

The Federation will hold a two day training at the Rutgers University Inn and Conference Center, October 2-3, 2009. The training is designed for shop stewards and Local officers, and will focus on building and/or increasing the skills necessary for today's union leaders.

Some of the full group discussions will tackle grievance handling, conflict resolution, negotiations tactics, and working with lawmakers. The breakout sessions will focus on preparing for discipline cases, internal organizing, membership mobilization and financial officers.

A limited number of sleeping rooms are available at the Conference Center at a rate of $84.00/single, $97.00/double. IFPTE will submit participants' names via rooming list on a first-come, first-serve basis. Once these rooms are depleted, our overflow hotel will be the Hilton East Brunswick at a rate of $99.00. Participants' names will also be submitted via rooming list to the Hilton, which is located approximately 5 minutes from the University Inn and Conference Center.

Rutgers University Inn and Conference Center also provides meal service. Four meals, lunch and dinner for Friday, October 2nd, and breakfast and lunch for Saturday, October 3rd, will cost participants $57.
