WASHINGTON, D.C. – The International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers (IFPTE), representing over 15,000 Public Sector workers in New Jersey, today announced their endorsements for Representatives Robert Menendez Jr. (NJ-8), Bill Pascrell (NJ-9) and Donald Payne Jr. (NJ-10). Below are comments from IFPTE Local and National Leaders.
IFPTE Local 194 President and Hudson County Central Labor Council (CLC) President Barry Kushnir:
“Congressmen Menendez, Pascrell and Payne have all established themselves as champions for working families here in New Jersey and throughout the nation. The members of IFPTE Local 194, and those unions that make us the Hudson County CLC, don’t hesitate to reach out to any of them on any and all issues impacting our members, and without hesitation, they are all there to work alongside us. I am proud to lend them my backing, and am proud that the IFPTE international is also supporting each one of these pro-Union lawmakers.”
IFPTE Local 196 President, Atlantic Area Vice President, and New Jersey AFL-CIO Vice President Sean McBride:
“As an IFPTE Vice President, and as the President of Local 196, I am honored to stand in support of Representatives Menendez, Pascrell and Payne. All three of these lawmakers have unblemished labor voting records in the House of Representatives and are champions when it comes to protecting collective bargaining in this nation, and in our State. Furthermore, Local 196 is proud to call Congressman Payne’s wife a rank-and-file Local 196 member! IFPTE is proud to support these Members of Congress for re-election.”
IFPTE Local 195 Trustee and Atlantic Area Vice President Steve Pinto:
“Congressmen Menendez, Pascrell and Payne have always been there for IFPTE members when they needed help, and IFPTE is proud to be there for them as they seek re-election. All three of these lawmakers not only talk-the-talk in support of labor and workers, they walk-the-walk in the Halls of Congress on our Union issues, and IFPTE has their backs.”
IFPTE is a labor Union representing upwards of 90,000 workers in the Public, Federal, and Private sectors in the United States and Canada.
