On Thursday, July 21, at 2 p.m. EDT, IFPTE will join with the U.S. Department of Education to hold an event highlighting the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program.  This program is designed to eliminate the balance of student loan debt for people who work in public service jobs.  

There are certain conditions for approval, including being employed full-time at an approved employer, which includes most nonprofits and local, state and federal government service – including military.  If you think you may qualify, we strongly urge you to join us on Thursday.

The Biden Administration has asked for unions to work with their leadership and members to find individuals who may qualify for this program, and IFPTE is pleased to help get the word out.
