Julian Ware
Western Area VP

Julian Ware is from Local 21, which represents public sector workers proudly serving our communities across the San Francisco Bay Area.  Local 21 is an innovative, growing union of over 11,000 professional, supervisory, and managerial government employees in major jurisdictions throughout the Bay Area.  Our members come from a diverse set of backgrounds with a geographic spread across the San Francisco Bay Area, anchoring our union solidly across all sides of the Bay.

Julian serves as the Vice President for Oakland on the Executive Board for Local 21 and has done so for the past several years.  In addition to his roles as a Board member, he continues his work as a Union Steward, which began his passion for Union work.

He has been an employee of the City of Oakland's IT Department since 2002 performing spatial analysis to empower the community, and considers Oakland his adoptive City.

Julian is a San Francisco Native and continues to reside there with his wife and two children.
