Ahead of House Passage of Moving America Forward Act, IFPTE Urges Yes Vote

In anticipation of the House’s consideration of the Moving America Forward Act, H.R. 2, which authorize s spending for America's surface transportation needs, IFPTE sent a letter to lawmakers applauding the bill, including providing for “needed resources for modernizing and upgrading the backbone of our air transportation system, ” as well as setting spending priorities for school construction, electric grid modernization, public housing, community health facilities, energy efficiency in homes and buildings, and a numerous other infrastructure projects. 

The five-year authorization commits $1.5 trillion to resolve the neglected state of American infrastructure, which the American Society of Civil Engineers grades as "D+".
