Brother Sean McBride Sworn in to Serve on New Jersey AFL-CIO Board
IFPTE Local 196 President/IFPTE Atlantic Area Vice President Sean McBride was sworn in to serve on the New Jersey AFL-CIO Executive Council. Brother McBride, who replaces Brother Tim Rudolph as IFPTE’s representative on the council, was installed to the Council during the State Fed’s annual COPE Conference in Atlantic City.
IFPTE president Matt Biggs commented, “There is little doubt that Sean will work hand-in-hand with President Wowkaneck and Secretary-Treasurer Brennan to ensure that all matters impacting IFPTE are brought to the highest levels of New Jersey’s labor movement,” while Secretary-Treasurer Gay Henson said, “IFPTE is honored to have Brother Sean represent the thousands of IFPTE members throughout New Jersey on the State Fed Board.” Atlantic Area VP/IFPTE Local 195 business manager, Gerry Newsome, also weighed in, saying, “Brother Sean will no doubt carry on Brother Tim Rudolph’s legacy of representing IFPTE on the board with the sole purpose of prioritizing the interests of our members, and growing our movement.” Lastly, Sean McBride said upon being sworn-in that, “It is a true honor to serve IFPTE here in New Jersey. I promise each and every IFPTE member that my service to you all will be a priority, and I will do so in honor of Brother Rudolph. IFPTE is, and will remain, Union Strong here in Jersey.”
