Canadian Locals Recognize National Indigenous History Month
June is National Indigenous History Month in Canada. It is a celebratory occasion to showcase Indigenous cultures, languages, and histories. TEAM/IFPTE Local 161 “honours the culture that has been shared and the inspiring voices of Indigenous Peoples that have taught us.” The Society of United Professionals (SUP/IFPTE Local 160) encourages members to use the occasion to learn more about Indigenous history and the many peoples that we share this land with.
Members can also honour the spirit of this month by reading the Truth and Reconciliation Committee’s report.
