EA/IFPTE Local 1937 Holds Annual Training Conference

The Engineering Association (EA/IFPTE Local 1937) hosted their annual Designated Union Representative (DUR) Training in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  The training conference, which was chaired by EA President Mike Cavote, featured several training breakout sessions, including membership engagement, compensation and grievance process.

The theme of the conference was “New Alliance”, and was highlighted by several keynote addresses from both TVA management and IFPTE/EA leaders, including President Cavote; IFPTE Secretary Treasurer Gay Henson, and President Matt Biggs, and; TVA Chief Operating Officer Don Moul and Power Operations Senior Vice President Jacinda Woodward.

Among the highlights of the conference was the presentation of the Charlie Rollins/Gay Henson Scholarship, which was awarded to Kelsey Hewitt, daughter of EA member Elise Hewitt. Congratulations Kelsey!
