Former SPEEA Area Vice President Donna Lehane Reelected to Kansas AFL-CIO Executive Council
SPEEA associate member and former IFPTE Vice President, Donna Lehane, was sworn in last month as a Vice President for the Kansas AFL-CIO.
Lehane was re-elected to the executive council during the Federation’s 28th Biannual Convention, which took place in Topeka. The Convention, which brought together labor leaders and delegates from across the state, focused on passing the bipartisan infrastructure bill, President Biden’s Build Back Better Act, and labor’s number one priority, The Pro Act.
Among those addressing convention delegates was AFL-CIO president Liz Shuler and Kansas Congresswoman Sharice Davids. Lehane commented that, “I feel it is a privilege and honor to represent SPEEA/IFPTE Local 2001 at the Kansas AFL-CIO, and will continue to do my part as a member of the board in championing not only those issues of importance to our members, but to Kansas’ working families in general.”
Congratulations Donna!
