IFPTE International Staff, Officers Support Families in Need

IFPTE’s international staff and executive officers pooled together more than $1,200 in donations to deliver to Community Family Life Services (CFLS), a non-profit organization in Washington, DC providing programs and services that include transitional housing, mentoring for individuals and families, employment coaching and placement, case management, family education, and emergency services such as food and clothing distribution.

CFLS, whose transitional housing building is located directly across the street from the IFPTE international offices, has been providing these much needed services since 1969. IFPTE events coordinator/communications director, Candace Rhett, organized this year’s and past year’s support for CFLS families, and commented that, “our donations were able to assist six families in need, something that we are proud to support each year. I am hopeful that we will be able to continue to provide support to this program multiple times in 2022.”

President Matt Biggs and Secretary-Treasurer Gay Henson jointly commented: “we thank Candace for continuing to lead this effort each holiday season, and commend her for assisting these transitioning families. We look forward to continuing this tradition of giving from IFPTE to our community.”
