IFPTE Thanks and Honors Our Essential Workers - IFPTE Attends DOL Hall of Honor Induction Ceremony
This week IFPTE was honored to be invited to attend the Department of Labor’s Hall of Honor ceremony celebrating and recognizing our nation’s essential workers.
The event, attended by IFPTE President Matt Biggs, was held in Washington, DC and honored four workers – a truck driver, an educator, a farm worker and a grocery store worker. Biggs commented that, “IFPTE continues to thank all of our essential workers who put their own lives on the line to serve the public during the darkest days of the pandemic. We honor and thank the four workers who were recognized today by Secretary Walsh and Deputy Secretary Su, and the millions upon millions of essential workers they represent, including IFPTE members.”
