IFPTE Continues To Do Its Part to Support Labor 2024 Efforts

IFPTE president, Matt Biggs, and international representative, David LaFemina, were back in Philadelphia again this week to support the Philadelphia AFL-CIO’s Labor 2024 program in support of Union-endorsed candidates, including the Harris/Walz ticket for President and Vice President, and Bob Casey for Senate.

Biggs and LaFemina, who have been to Philadelphia twice over the last two weeks, knocked on over 200 Union household doors.  Biggs commented that “election day is now less than three weeks away and it is incumbent upon the Labor movement to do the grassroots work necessary in support of our Union endorsed candidates, particularly Kamala Harris for President and Tim Walz for Vice President.  Make no mistake, the future of collective bargaining rights for federal workers, prevailing wage protections for private sector workers, and programs like Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid will thrive, or will be under attack depending on who wins this election.”  David LaFemina also commented, saying that, “our success in encouraging Union members to get out and vote could be the determining factor in this election.  I am proud to continue to work with Matt and Philadelphia AFL-CIO president, Danny Bauder, in our GOTV efforts.”

Biggs and LaFemina, and others from across the IFPTE family, will continue to work the Labor 2024 program through election day, November 5.
