Engineering Association (EA/IFPTE Local 1937) President, Carolyn Wilson, announced her retirement this week after four decades of service to the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA).  She also announced her retirement as President of the EA/IFPTE Local 1937, where she also served as Vice President and EA board member for over twenty years.

IFPTE Secretary-Treasurer, Gay Henson, who served many years with Carolyn as EA officers, commented on her retirement:  “Carolyn Wilson’s decades-long service to TVA, the Tennessee Valley community, and particularly her Union, the Engineering Association, is to be celebrated and honored.  She has always been dedicated to her fellow EA Union members and the EA as an institution.  We are grateful to her for the countless hours she gave to our Union, and the IFPTE overall.”

IFPTE President, Matt Biggs, also weighed in:  “Carolyn has always been there front and center to support her own Local and the IFPTE more broadly.  I am particularly grateful to her for supporting the IFPTE legislative conference and for being one of IFPTE’s strongest and longest PAC supporters. IFPTE will certainly miss her, but also wish her and her family much happiness and prosperity as she enters retirement.”

In total, Carolyn worked for TVA for 43 years.  Congratulations!
