IFPTE Honors Memorial Day 2023

As our nation celebrates Memorial Day over the weekend and on Monday, the officers and staff at IFPTE pass along our deepest appreciation to our nation’s military personnel, our Veterans, and most especially those that have given the ultimate sacrifice in support of our Democracy. 

IFPTE is proud to be a leading union in the North American labor movement, and a proud member of the AFL-CIO and CLC.  All of us at IFPTE work each day to protect the rights of workers everywhere, to organize the unorganized, and fight for fair pay, health benefits, pensions, respect and a voice on the job, and an overall better way of life for working people.  Our members, thousands of whom are Veterans themselves including those serving on the IFPTE Veterans Committee, and thousands of others who work to directly support our military, are patriotic and unapologetic in our support of our Democracy.   Make no mistake about it, a strong and vibrant labor movement is essential to a strong and vibrant Democracy. 

As many of us take this time to spend valuable time with our families, enjoy cookouts and ring in the start of Summer, let us all also remember and honor those who have given their lives in defense of our nation.  The Labor Movement and IFPTE are forever grateful to them.
