IFPTE Joins Fed-Postal Coalition in Calling for An End to the WEP and GPO
IFPTE was one of 22 organizations to sign a Federal-Postal Coalition this week to House lawmakers in support of HR 82, the Social Security Fairness Act of 2021. The bipartisan bill, which is jointly sponsored by Representatives Rodney Davis (R-IL) and Abigail Spanberger (D-VA), repeals the long standing Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP) and Government Pension Offset (GPO), which, “unfairly target the earned Social Security benefits of our nation’s public servants…”.
