Farewell to Former IFPTE Local 1921 La Due Lake

The GAO Employees Organization/IFPTE Local 1921 recently congratulated their former President Ron La Due Lake on his impending retirement from the U.S. Government Accountability Office.

Ron was the Local's first president and led negotiations for almost every agreement between the Union and management from 2007 through 2018. Ron also testified in front of Congress on behalf of the Local, as well as serving on the Financial Committee for several IFPTE Conventions.

IFPTE President Matt Biggs stated, “Ron has been an invaluable leader to Local 1921 and IFPTE for many years. IFPTE wishes him and his family ‘best wishes’ in the next phase of his life.”
