IFPTE Mourns the Loss of Local 193-C President, Brother Michael Pearce
IFPTE is sad to report the December 15th passing of Local 193-C President Michael Pearce.
Brother Pearce was an avid union member, having served in the past at Local 196 for two terms, before transferring bargaining units to also serve the members of Local 193-C as President.
He also served in both locals as a shop steward and area officer, and was a 38-year employee of the New Jersey Turnpike Authority as a Crew Supervisor.
IFPTE Atlantic Area Vice President/Local 196 President Sean McBride called Pearce “a dedicated leader in our IFPTE family who fought day in and day out for his members. We at Local 196 owe him a special note of appreciation for his leadership here for many years before he moved to the Local 193-C bargaining unit. IFPTE has lost a great Brother and we send along our condolences to his family and friends.”
