IFPTE Proud: Brother Tim Rudolph Honored by the AFL-CIO During Black History Month
During Black History Month, the AFL-CIO is recognizing some of the labor movement’s trailblazing African-American leaders, including IFPTE’s own, Tim Rudolph, who was honored on Monday, February 7th.
The honor is intended to highlight labor leaders like Tim who not only improve conditions for working families across the nation, but also are making Black history across the labor movement. Brother Rudolph, who is IFPTE Local 195 president/Atlantic Council president, is “a pillar of New Jersey’s labor movement, serving as a liaison between the state federation and many IFPTE Locals and chapters…”.
IFPTE president, Matt Biggs, commented on the honor, saying, “Brother Rudolph is one of IFPTE’s strongest and most effective leaders, and a person that IFPTE relies on for partnership, solidarity and expert advice as we work to represent our vast membership.” Secretary-Treasurer, Gay Henson, also weighed-in, calling this, “a much-deserved distinction and one that the entire IFPTE is proud of. Congratulations Tim!”
