IFPTE Submits Names to CLC Advisory and Working Group Committees
The IFPTE has submitted names to participate on the Canadian Labour Congress’ (CLC) Advisory and Working Group committees.
The committees and working groups provide advice to the CLC Officers and, through them, to the Canadian Council. Committees provide an opportunity for affiliate representatives to share information or discuss issues of common concern and to suggest possible areas of research or coordination by the Congress. These committees also provide a forum and mechanism for the Congress to coordinate responses to governments, agencies, boards and other bodies on legislation, regulations or other initiatives which may affect working people, unions or social and economic institutions and programs.
CLC committees and working groups usually meet twice per year, in Ottawa. They are appointed for a term of office following one Convention to the end of the next Triennial Convention.
Below are the IFPTE representatives who have been appointed to the committees and working groups. Thank you to these individuals for representing IFPTE at the CLC.
