IFPTE Thanks, Celebrates, and Remembers Our Veterans

WASHINGTON, DC – The International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers (IFPTE) issued the following statement in recognition of Veterans Day and Remembrance Day: 

“IFPTE is proud to remember and honor our nations’ Veterans, including the countless Veterans who are strong members of the labour movement. In doing so, we want to also thank the thousands of Veterans represented by IFPTE across all sectors of our membership, in Canada and the U.S., and let them know that their service is appreciated and valued throughout our IFPTE family. 

“As we remember our Veterans, and those who sacrificed their lives for our nation, let us also take time to grasp the core values that bring us all together as union members. Regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or political affiliation, it is our sense of country and the collective good for workers and country that transcends our differences. When we stop to thank a Veteran on this day, let us also embrace this sense of common good and Veterans’ unwavering commitment to the common good that benefits our entire society.  

“On this Veterans Day and Remembrance Day, the entire IFPTE family thanks and honors all those that have served and sacrificed for our society.”
