IFPTE Thanks, Celebrates, and Remembers Our Veterans

WASHINGTON, DC – The International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers (IFPTE) is proud to honour and commend our nations’ Veterans, including the countless Veterans who are strong members of the labour movement. We want to particularly thank the thousands of Veterans represented by IFPTE across all sectors of our membership in both Canada and the United States!  Your service is appreciated and valued throughout our IFPTE family. 

As we remember our Veterans, and those who sacrificed their lives for our nations, let us also take time to grasp the core values that bring us all together as union members, regardless of our race, religion, sexual orientation, or identity.  Our dedication to the collective good for the working class, of which we are a part of, and our commitment to our fellow workers and citizens is what unifies us all as Union members. And, it is the Veterans among us who have put their lives on the line for these common values. 

When we stop to thank a Veteran on this day, let us also embrace this sense of common good and Veterans’ unwavering commitment to the common good that benefits our entire society.   

On this Veterans Day and Remembrance Day, the entire IFPTE family thanks and honors all those who have served and sacrificed for our society.
