IFPTE Union Council 8 Shop Steward Training

IFPTE Union Council 8 held 2 days of shop steward training with a focus on member engagement and grievance handling. The training was held at the union office located in downtown Elizabeth NJ.

Union Council 8 has expanded its representation to Morris County and shop stewards from Morris County and Union County were in attendance. Everyone was actively engaged and participated in the training. As a result, the union gained 2 new Shop Stewards and was able to fill a vacant Trustee seat.

The union will continue to train the shop stewards in the areas of recruitment and mobilization.
