Legislative Director Faraz Khan Attends White House Energy Summit
IFPTE was one of several Union’s invited to participate in this week’s White House Summit on Domestic Nuclear Deployment. The event was Co-hosted by the White House Climate Policy Office, Office of Science and Technology Policy, National Security Council, and the U.S. Department of Energy and intended to highlight the technological advances made across the nuclear industry.
IFPTE Legislative Director Faraz Khan commented on the summit: “I was honored to participate and represent IFPTE at this very important summit, as it provided us an opportunity to hear from experts across the nuclear industry, senior officials from key government agencies, and others like me representing workers. It is IFPTE’s goal to continue to advocate for investments and advancements in existing and emerging clean energy technologies, including nuclear.”
Federal government, utilities, project developers, organized labor, clean energy buyers, advocates, academia, local governments, and other industry groups were among those who attended.
