'We Keep Them in Our Hearts'

Members of IFPTE Local 121 and the Hawaii Federal Employees Metal Trades Department sent a heartfelt note of gratitude to the IFPTE headquarters in appreciation for the support of IFPTE Locals and members throughout North America for the victims of the tragic shooting at the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard last December. The IFPTE family stepped up strong in contributing to a victims fund to support Vincent Kapoi Jr., Roldan Agustin and Roger Nakamine, all Local 121 members.

Local 121 President Jamie Uyeunten thanked the IFPTE community, commenting that “The families of our union brothers are still grieving, as is the Pearl Harbor community overall, but seeing the strong outpouring of support from IFPTE and Metal Trades Department members across the United States and Canada has been extremely heartening during such a difficult time. Our motto here in our shipyard community is ‘We Keep Them In Our Hearts’, something we know that our entire union family is doing as well. Mahalo.”

IFPTE International thanks all of those who contributed to the fund.
