New Era for IFPTE Local 195 As Newly Elected Officers are Sworn into Office

Last Friday, newly elected president, Deborah Spencer, Vice President, Melvin Dwyer and a complete slate of officers were sworn into office at IFPTE Local 195.  President Spencer and Vice President Dwyer assume the leadership of the Local after decades of service in the Local’s leadership roles.

President Spencer commented that, “Brother Dwyer and I are both honored and humbled to have the opportunity to represent the members of Local 195.  They have our commitment that we will work hard to bring all Local 195 members a strong voice fighting for them at the bargaining table, and with the lawmakers who determine the laws and funding that impact our jobs.”

Vice President Dwyer also commented that, “President Spencer and I have committed to hear all of the concerns of Local 195’s diverse membership, and will run our union in both a fiscally responsible and focused manner, and work to build on our already strong relationships with the larger labor movement so that our members enjoy the fruits of Union Solidarity.”

President Emeritus, Brother Don Buchanan, swore in the new officers.  The IFPTE International congratulates them all!
