Ontario Ford Government Uses Notwithstanding Clause

The Ford government is set to pass a law, Keeping Students in Class Act, that overrides Ontarians’ constitutional rights all because they refuse to negotiate a fair contract with education workers. If Ford can do it to them, there’s nothing stopping him from doing it to us, says the Society of United Professionals (SUP/IFPTE Local 160). It’s time for all of us to stand up and oppose this attack on the fundamental freedoms we are supposed to have as Canadians.
