Secretary-Treasurer Henson Brings Holiday Cheer and Gifts to Chattanooga Families

Last week Secretary-Treasurer Henson took time to shop for and provide holiday gifts to her fellow citizens in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The annual Soddy Daisy Headstart holiday gift-giving event sponsored 20 families and provided 106 children in Chattanooga with gifts and food during this holiday season.

Henson, who has participated in the event for many years, commented, “I am honored to be able to continue to assist the Soddy Daisy Headstart program to ensure that the families and children in our community will enjoy the holiday season. During this time of year, and all year round, it is critically important that all of us, as a society, leave none of our fellow citizens behind. ‘An injury to one is an injury to all’ is the slogan that fuels those of us in the union movement and it is a great pleasure to spend time each year to assist with this program.”
