Secretary-Treasurer Henson Named to Department of Labor FACOSH Council

The Department of Labor (DOL) announced the appointment of Secretary-Treasurer Gay Henson to the Federal Advisory Council on Occupational Safety and Health (FACOSH), which was established pursuant to Executive Order 11612 for the purpose of advising the Secretary of Labor on matters related to occupational safety and health of federal workers. 

In particular, FACOSH advises DOL’s Secretary on ways to create and develop occupational safety and health programs to minimize and eliminate injuries and illnesses of federal employees.  Henson commented that, “it is an honor to represent IFPTE on FACOSH, and a great opportunity for IFPTE to provide Secretary Walsh and his team with our ideas and experience in ensuring that federal workers are safe from injury and illness on the job.”
