Senate Holds Hearing on Social Security Administration Service - AALJ Weighs-In
This week the Senate Social Finance Committee held a hearing entitled, “Social Security During COVID: How the Pandemic Hampered Access to Benefits and Strategies for Improving Service Delivery.” In preparation for the hearing, Association of Administrative Law Judges (AALJ/IFPTE Judicial Council 1) President Melissa McIntosh provided the committee with a written statement, notifying Senators that “the current leadership of the Social Security Administration—Trump appointees Andrew Saul and David Black—exploited the pandemic to weaken the fundamental rights of persons applying for disability benefits…”.
