#SidelineTheFilibuster-- Tell Your Senators to Protect Voting Rights and Democracy
This week, the IFPTE joins the AFL-CIO and Americans throughout the country to demand that Senators take swift action to reform the filibuster, the Senate procedural rule that prevents legislation that is critical to democracy and worker rights from being passed.
The filibuster stands in the way of ensuring that the U.S. Senate works, that our democracy is effective, and that Congress is able to advance the agenda that working Americans have elected them to address. Tell your Senators to sideline the filibuster and pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and the Freedom to Vote Act.
