SOLIDARITY ALERT: IFPTE Legal Sector Locals Step Up in Support of NAIJ/Judicial Council 2
This week, IFPTE’s Legal Sector Working Group, an alliance of IFPTE Canadian and U.S. Locals representing legal professionals, sent a letter to President Biden and Vice President Harris in support of the National Association of Immigration Judges (NAIJ/Judicial Council 2) efforts to re-certify their union.
The NAIJ effort, which comes after an unprecedented decision in April by the Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA) that continued to include two Trump appointees of the three members to strip NAIJ members of their collective bargaining rights. The letter urged the President and Vice President to, “join in the petition to re-certify the NAIJ.”
