Brother Shelton,

We write to offer support and solidarity for our sisters and brothers in the Bakery, Confectionary, Tobacco and Grain Millers’ International Union (BCTGM) who are on strike against Nabisco/Mondelēz.  We commend these 1,000 proud BCTGM members for taking a stand to protect good-paying union jobs from being sent to countries with lower wages and fewer worker protections.

We are pleased to provide $2,000 in financial support for your striking members, and we will observe the boycott of Nabisco/Mondelēz products that are not made in the United States.  By copy of this letter, we also ask our Local Unions and members to join us in supporting BCTGM members, including by sharing the attached call-to-action flier.

Finally, we thank all your members for their dedication and sacrifice throughout the pandemic.  Nabisco/Mondelēz should be particularly ashamed to attempt this move after your members have done so much to keep the company operating and its products flowing during an exceptionally difficult time, and at no small risk to them and their families.

In Solidarity,
