SOLIDARITY ALERT: Local 196 Joins New Jersey Unity Table in Support of Federal Workers

Brother Sean McBride, who serves as IFPTE Atlantic Area Vice President/Local 196 President, was appointed by New Jersey AFL-CIO President Charlie Wowkanech to the State Federation’s Unity Table in support of federal workers.

McBride, who also serves as a Vice President of the New Jersey AFL-CIO, commented on the State Labor movement’s work to assist federal employees:  “I am honored to serve in this capacity and represent IFPTE here in New Jersey as we fight in Solidarity to support our Sisters and Brothers employed by the federal government and who are under attack by the Trump Administration.  As public sector workers, we must all stand together when any administration tries to attack us as public servants.  An injury to one is an injury to all, and IFPTE here in New Jersey will assist in any way we can.”

The Unity Table met this week to strategize a plan for contacting New Jersey lawmakers serving in Congress.

Thank you, Brother McBride!
