SPEEA Stepping Up Strong in Support of The PRO Act
SPEEA/IFPTE Local 2001 is leading the way within the IFPTE family in urging Congress to move quickly in passing historic labor law reform to bring fairness back to the private sector organizing process. As it stands now, workers who seek to form unions are met with employer intimidation, captive audience meetings, firings and extreme pressures to vote down the union. The latest example of these draconian tactics was the Amazon organizing drive in Alabama, which is exactly why labor, including IFPTE and SPEEA, are aggressively pushing Congress to pass The PRO Act, to bring back protections and fairness for workers. Because the House has already passed The PRO Act, SPEEA’s latest grassroots campaign is focused on the Senate, urging SPEEA members to “Tell U.S. Senators to support The PRO Act.” Learn more about SPEEA’s campaign here.
