PSLF Waiver Ends Oct. 31, Check StudentAid.gov — IFPTE Joins Union Letter Requesting Waiver Period Extension

With the deadline for the Department of Education's waiver on the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF) just days away, IFPTE and NPEU/IFPTE Local 70 signed onto a union letter to Education Secretary Cardona requesting the deadline for the waiver be extended through July 1, 2023. The waiver allows PSLF to forgive student loan debt in instances where borrowers were not previously on an eligible repayment plan, did not pay the full amount due, or did not pay on time.
