2023 MFL Women's Conference: Women Belong In All Places Where Union Decisions Are Being Made

The 2023 Manitoba Federation of Labour (MFL) Women’s Conference, “Women Belong In All Places Where Union Decisions Are Being Made,” is an intensive two-day conference for union women and non-binary folk to lean and share in a supportive environment. The conference, scheduled for September 26-27, aims to build personal and leadership skills and to prepare women to take on new roles and leadership positions in their union and the broader community.  

Participants will have the opportunity to meet and network with activists from the MFL’s diverse union affiliates, strengthening connections and solidarity between union women. 

The theme of this year’s conference builds from the famous words of the late feminist U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg:  

“Women belong in all places where decisions are being made. It shouldn’t be that women are the exception.“
