Addition of Stewards Marks Exciting Growth for SCMMA Local 222

Earlier this week, the Saskatoon Civic Middle Management Association (SCMMA/IFPTE Local 222), hosted a training workshop for new stewards and table officers. The one-day session was facilitated by IFPTE Representatives and Organizers, Bill Fitzpatrick and Erin Spencer.

The workshop comes following the recent addition of a full complement of nine new stewards and the members’ resounding approval to enshrine the role in the Local’s constitution at the last Annual General Meeting in October. The training provided new stewards with best practices for filing and proceeding with grievances and what to expect when representing members at investigation meetings.
