Arbitrator’s Decision Confirms What IFPTE, AALJ Already Knew – SSA is a Rouge Union Busting Agency

An arbitrator issued a ruling this week slamming the Social Security Administration (SSA)​, ​finding that the agency’s conduct during contract negotiations with the Association of Administrative Law Judges (AALJ)-Judicial Council 1 was “tantamount to saying, ‘I’m taking my ball and going home.’”

The ruling, which included a cease-and-desist order “to prohibit future instances of bad faith bargaining,” requires the SSA and AALJ to go back to the bargaining table.
