Balzano Marine Terminal Receives Federal Funding to Help Stabilize Berth
IFPTE Local 18 President Roy McCormick who represents workers at the South Jersey Port Corporation attended a check presentation event at the berth situated on the Delaware River waterfront.
U.S. Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01) visited the South Jersey port to announce $750,000 in new federal funding to help stabilize the berth at the Balzano Marine Terminal. The investment directly translates into job retention and creation from the construction workers who will build it, to the dockworkers loading and unloading ships, to the truckers hauling the cargo, to jobs in the industries on the end of the supply chain.
IFPTE Local 18 represents laborers, equipment operators, receiving and delivery clerks, crane operators, mechanic and maintenance repairmen.
