Bruce Local Council

Earlier this week, the Society of United Professionals/IFPTE Local 160’s Bruce Local held their annual council meeting in Port Elgin. Close to 40 delegates and guests participated in the full-day gathering including Society Executive Vice President, Chris Graham, and IFPTE International Representatives Bill Fitzpatrick and Anna Liu.

Graham opened the meeting with greetings from the Society’s central office. IFPTE staffers attended to give a presentation on building the future of our union. The day’s agenda also included discussions about nuclear expansion in Ontario, CANDU technology, artificial intelligence, and contracting out.
