Card-check and Anti-scab Legislation One Step Closer in Manitoba

This week the NDP government in Manitoba announced their plans to introduce legislation that Unions have been fighting for over 50 years to achieve.

Premier Wab Kinew and Minister of Labour Malaya Marcelino announced that their majority government will be introducing card-check and anti-scab legislation. Kevin Rebeck, President of the MFL wrote, “It makes a difference to have a Premier and a provincial government who are looking out for the hardworking people of Manitoba by bringing in new protections to ensure that they are treated with respect and dignity on the job.”
