CLC Demands EI Reform as CERB Ends

The Canadian Labour Congress is asking everyone to join them in emailing the Prime Minister and your local Member of Parliament (MP) demanding reform to Employment Insurance (EI). The Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) has helped millions of unemployed Canadians. The benefit was crucial to supporting those who lost their jobs during the pandemic. But the federal government is phasing out the CERB program in September. It's promising to shift those workers to EI. That’s exactly what’s needed, but there's just one thing: the EI system needs a major overhaul!
