Engineering Association-Local 1937 Secures Wins for Members in Contract with Tennessee Valley Authority
After tough negotiations throughout the summer, the Engineering Association/Local 1937 (EA) finalized a three-year contract with the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) this week.
Among the major gains won for EA members were pay raises of 3.1% in FY22, 3.0% in FY23 and another 3.0% in FY24.
In a detailed notice to the membership, the EA President/IFPTE Secretary-Treasurer Gay Henson and the EA negotiating team informed members that, “most of our goals for negotiations were achieved and were big wins – like annual base pay wage increases, elimination of individual pay goals, emphasis with management on variable and off cycle performance increases, large market rate changes for many of our positions, 3-year benefits agreement and the establishment of a new pay level for career employees!”
