Great Turnout for TEAM AGM

TEAM/IFPTE Local 161 held its AGM over 3 days this week in Winnipeg and Brandon, Manitoba.

The meetings were a great success with over 200 members in attendance. President Dave Eyjolfson and Executive Director Erin Spencer highlighted the busy year that TEAM had despite being understaffed for most of the year. President Eyjolfson outlined key TEAM events and involvement in the broader community and labour movement while Executive Director Spencer provided an overview of workplace issues and member advocacy.

Both of the leaders recognized IFPTE’s support during the year assisting with TEAM Board training and legislative advocacy. On hand for the Winnipeg AGM was WAPSO/IFPTE Local 162 President and IFPTE Vice-President Richard Mahe who was the guest speaker who brought greetings from President Matt Biggs and Secretary-Treasurer Gay Henson.
