IFPTE Applauds Senate Confirmation of Robert Shriver for OPM Deputy Director

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The executive officers of the International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers (IFPTE) issued the following statements applauding the Senate’s confirmation of Robert H. Shriver, III, President Biden’s nominee to serve as Deputy Director of the Office of Personnel (OPM).

“Our union congratulates OPM Deputy Director Rob Shriver and applauds his bipartisan Senate confirmation. Deputy Director Shriver continues a distinguished career in public service and with his hands-on expertise on federal personnel policies, he will be an asset to the federal workforce and to achieving President Biden’s management agenda. IFPTE has a strong working relationship with the Deputy Director because he understands that it is critical to consider and incorporate the perspectives of federal employees and necessary to work in partnership with federal employee unions. We look forward to continuing the productive relationship Deputy Director Shriver and OPM Director Kiran Ahuja.”
