IFPTE Forges Trans-Atlantic Labor Partnership for Good Union Jobs, Just Transition, Energy Security and Climate
The Times of London published an opinion piece authored by President Matt Biggs, Secretary-Treasurer Gay Henson and Sue Fern, Senior Deputy General Secretary of the British Union Prospect, which represents professional workers in the energy sector throughout the United Kingdom. In the piece, Ferns, Biggs and Henson noted the once-in-a-generation moment that unions and governments now face, as well as the obligation of labor leaders to work with business to ensure that this moment benefits all working families. “We don’t just want the opportunity to expand representation,” they said, “We want to represent the expansion of opportunity.”
