IFPTE Member, Family Member Awarded 2023 Union Plus Scholarships

Union Plus recently awarded $200,000 in scholarships to 205 students representing 41 unions, including two winners representing the International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers (IFPTE). This year’s group of scholarship recipients includes university, college, and trade or technical school students from 39 states and the District of Columbia. The IFPTE winners are:    

  • Katherine “Katie” Barrows of Washington, D.C. Barrows, who is a member of IFPTE Local 70, has been awarded a $2,000 scholarship.  

  • Kelsey Hewitt of Signal Mountain, Tennessee. Hewitt, whose mother, Elise Hewitt, is a member of IFPTE Local 1937, has been awarded a $525 scholarship.
