IFPTE Holds Biannual Veterans Committee Meeting

The IFPTE Veterans Committee held their Spring 2023 committee meeting this past Thursday via Zoom.  

The meeting, which was chaired by Veterans Committee Chairman/IFPTE Local 20 President/Western Area Vice President, John Mader, was attended by 12 Veterans, staff and officers across four IFPTE Locals (ESC/IFPTE Local 20, SPEEA/IFPTE Local 2001, IFPTE Local 195, and EA/IFPTE Local 1937), and focused on the major legislative issues facing IFPTE-represented Veterans. Among the highlights of the meeting was a presentation by AFL-CIO Union Veterans Council (UVC) Chairman Will Attig, and a legislative presentation by IFPTE Legislative Director Faraz Khan. 

The following people attended Wednesday’s meeting:  John Mader (ESC/IFPTE Local 20); Clara Varner (ESC/IFPTE Local 20); Jimmie Mathis (SPEEA/IFPTE Local 2001); Jeff Forbes (SPEEA/IFPTE Local 2001); Hildred James (EA/IFPTE Local 1937); Ken Parment (EA/IFPTE Local 1937); Melvin Dwyer (IFPTE Local 195); Mike Shea (SPEEA/IFPTE Local 2001); Ricky Witt (EA/IFPTE Local 1937), Brian Kildee (International); Faraz Khan (International); Gay Henson (International); Matt Biggs (International); Paul Shearon (International/SPEEA).
