IFPTE Executive Officers Thank President Joe Biden for a Lifetime of Service to the Nation and to Working Families, Recommitting to the Fight to Defeat Trump's Anti-Worker Agenda

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WASHINGTON, DC – On behalf of 90,000 members and their families throughout North America, the International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers released the following statement today.

IFPTE President Matthew Biggs:

“There are no words to express our gratitude and appreciation for President Biden’s lifelong fight for the middle class and for those who are too often left behind in today’s global economy.  As a Senator, Vice President, President, father, grandfather, and husband, Joe Biden never forgot his roots and never compromised on his commitment to our labor movement and the millions of working families we represent.  He is already the most pro-union, pro-worker president in our nation’s history, and we know he is far from finished contributing to our nation.  IFPTE looks forward to working with President Biden and his administration throughout the remainder of his term, and toward helping to ensure that his pro-worker agenda continues to thrive well beyond his tenure as president.”

IFPTE Secretary-Treasurer Gay Henson:

“We at IFPTE stand ready to continue the fight for working families. The stakes of this election are too high to waste one moment on unnecessary distractions, and we will move to support immediately a presidential ticket that embraces the priorities, programs, and policies set in motion by the Biden administration.  Our members demand nothing less, and future generations of working Americans deserve nothing less.”

Across the United States and Canada, IFPTE represents 90,000 highly skilled workers in the federal, public, and private sectors. IFPTE is an affiliate of the AFL-CIO and the Canadian Labour Congress.
