IFPTE Endorses VP Kamala Harris for President of the United States

WASHINGTON, DC – On behalf of 90,000 members and their families throughout North America, the International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers released the following statement today in support of Vice President Kamala Harris for President of the United States.
IFPTE President Matt Biggs:
“From landmark legislative achievements that saved workers’ pensions to bringing back and growing the manufacturing base, to seventy pro-worker and pro-union recommendations included in the White House Worker Organizing and Empowerment Taskforce Report, Vice President Harris has been at the forefront of the Biden Administration’s agenda of prioritizing the needs of workers, Veterans and our most vulnerable over all else. It is imperative that Vice President Harris continue to move forward with this agenda that has already benefited millions upon millions of American workers. IFPTE is honored to give her our full support.”

“IFPTE was proud to endorse President Biden and Vice President Harris for a second term. Their successes on workers and Union issues are unmatched. After President Biden announced that he’s no longer running for President and is endorsing Vice President Harris for President, it was an easy decision for us here at IFPTE to lend our backing to Kamala Harris. The choice here is very clear. Project 2025, which aims to destroy Unions and worker rights, or Vice President Harris, who will continue policies that empower workers and their Unions. IFPTE endorses Vice President Harris.”
IFPTE endorsed the Biden-Harris ticket on July 17, 2023. Given President Biden’s departure from the election, the IFPTE Executive Council amended their July 17th endorsement today to endorse Vice President Harris.
